THREE DAUGHTERS OF GAYFIELDS ELIXER - 2005
Gayfields L O Dolly - by Rollingwoods Easy As L - three years old
Gayfields Dubbel Dose - by Dubbel LL's Swifty - two years old
Gayfields Miss Lydia Pinkham - by Rollingwoods Easy As L - four years old

Gayfields proudly presents our 2008 Showstring! Some changes have occured for the Elixer daughters above. Miss Lydia is Gayfields Granddaughter Suzanne McGehee's special pony, L O Dolly is Gayfields Granddaughter Molly McGehee's special mount, although she is generous in "loaning" her to her mother and sister when needed and Janet (the mom) and Suzanne share "DD" (Dubbel Dose). They all did well at the 2008 Central National/Tulsa State Fair Show in a variety of classes.
P.S. Two of them won the Tulsa State Fair Produce of Dam Class for Elixer.

2007 is starting out well. At the spring show in Katy, Texas, we showed Gayfields The Eurocrat, Gayfields Dubbel Dose, Gayfields L O Dolly and Hawkbourn Summer Wine. Euri was Supreme Champion under Mr. Sullivan. Molly rode Summer, Suzanne rode DD, and Janet showed Dolly in the Trail class and DD in the Adult Pleasure classes. Everybody got a blue ribbon in something or other and we all had a great time. Proudest of all may have been Clay who worked hard getting Euri ready for the two year old class and Arthur who was also on the washing/shining-up committee and showed in hand, too. Arthur got a 1st and 2nd with DD.

2005 - Following a winter of Walk-Trot and Walk-Trot-Canter classes at the Memphis schooling shows and lots of ribbons (including blues and Champion of her first Walk-Trot-Canter Division!) Suzanne is looking forward to the Gulf Coast Spring Show before leaving for a summer of trail riding with her Mom and fun in Montana.

2004 - Suzanne and Katie got good ribbons in Walk-Trot and Walk-Trot Poles, showing at the Tulsa State Fair, Red River Fall Show and Gulf Coast Fall Show. Suzanne and Katie are building a good reputation in the Memphis schooling shows in Walk-Trot. Molly, who has decided to postpone her show career until she is old enough to drive a pony, did manage a pet pony obstacle and a costume class with Dr. Ruth's Ozark Let's Rock. She also enjoys walking the cones course and being a hot-walker for Letty. Her other show interest is helping Jessica San Diego school her young cob stallion, GF Prince Albert. 2003 - Suzanne, now 6 and Molly, 4 returned to Tulsa for the 2003 American Nationals and had a wonderful time. This time Gayfields Skate On Katie came, too, and Suzanne entered Pet Pony Obstacle, Child's First Pony and the Walk/Trot Division. It was her very first time at a show off the leadline and she was super! (Actually it was her second show of any kind...see below for the report on the first one.)

Suzanne and Molly McGehee attended their very first Welsh Pony Show at the 2002 Tulsa State Fair! Suzanne rode Ruth Wilburn's Ozark Let's Rock to win the OKWPS Leadline and Pet Pony Obstacle classes! At five, she already says she wants to win "lots more trophies"! Molly, three, wants to be a driver like Dr. Ruth and Mr. Ronnie, but also thinks she didn't have enough time in three days to pat all the ponies.
